Shivaay bollywood movie Review: Shivaay is a much-anticipated Dream project of Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn. He has directed and stars in Shivaay. Shivaay is written by Sandeep Srivastava (screenplay) and Stars Ajay Devgn, Erika Kaar, Abigail Eames and Sayeshasaigal. Shivaay is set to release on 28th, October, 2016. Releasing on Diwali week, it will compete with Karan Johar’s equally Ambitious project ADHM, for the audience’s attention. The trailer of the movie was launched recently. Ajay tweets the trailer on his Twitter account with the caption Watch #ShivaayTraile, stating that, It doesn’t have a beginning and also it doesn’t have an end, but it doesn’t belong to anybody. It is emptiness and it is everything that has Shivaay nesting in it.
Ajay is seen as the main force in the entire trailer. There is a narrative praising Lord Shiva and Ajay’s expressions seem to match each dialogue step by step. Ajay is quite intense in most scenes. But there are also snaps of distraught, brooding expressions that Ajay has done full justice. Ajay’s monolog about Shiva is present in every single frame of the trailer. The use of references to Shiva while exploring his various aspects is interesting and intriguing. The movie seems to connect the different layers of Lord Shiva to that of a common man. As Ajay said, “There is no beginning and no end. He is indivisible, equally to all. He has been nothing yet everything. Shiva is in all of us,” in his deep baritone, every scene on the screen looks alive.
The trailer doesn’t reveal the story much, but it seems to be a story about a man who is on a mission and how he goes about facing difficult circumstances in the need to protect his family. A particular Scene of Ajay with child actor Abigail Eames also seems to be of utmost importance all along the trail. And it also shows the only real bond between two people in the trailer. The Shivaay’s female leads, Erika Kaar and Sayyeshaa Saigal are sparse in the trailer.
The cinematography of the trailer is the most noticeable thing at the moment. The whole trailer shifts between a modern town and a beautiful long range of mountains. The Himalayan snow-clad mountains and glaciers will take your breath away. At times, we are even reminded of the ‘wall’ and ‘winters’ from Game of Thrones. The supporting cast seems to be lurking in the background. On the whole, the trailer is filled with some suspense, drama, and fascinating action sequences. And leaves one anticipating to watch the movie. The film, Shivaay will be released on October 28th this year on Diwali
A slew of Bollywood stars is praising Shivaay’s trailer including Arshad Warsi and Legend Amitabh Bachchan. The actor tweets on Twitter saying: #ShivaayTrailer, stating that Goodness me, what a Trailer. Just spoke to Ajay and congratulated him for a stupendous job. All good wishes AJ. Ajay, in his reply to this tweet wrote: Thank you so much, sir You really made my day.
